Fun Chords for Keyboard Instruments
It is our hope that you will find the answers you seek. This site is about fun chords as they are applied to all keyboard instruments. Most common of those instruments is the piano but organ and accordion have been included. My piano of choice is electronic so I will soon add a page specific for that type of piano and it will include electric keyboards which are just smaller versions of the same. You will also find instructional videos on various pages.
Chords are simply the combination of 3 or more keys played at the same time. From this description it could be construed that playing 3 consecutive keys on an instrument, such as G A B, is a chord. Interestingly, this is a fun chord. Any combination of keys may be considered a fun chord. However, naming it may be a challenge at first but very rewarding as greater understanding is acquired. Start with the basics. Seek to understand. Understanding makes it yours forever.
Used properly, making chords as described on this site eliminates the need for chord dictionaries or charts making it easier and faster to find the chord you want. As a bonus, making chords in this manner has proven to aid in learning them. Rather rapidly too! Repetition is a law of learning so don’t be skimpy on repetition.
Making chords is the same for any keyboard instrument. However, the way the chords are applied may be different. As you progress those differences will become apparent.
